There comes a point in many people’s dating lives when The Apps just don’t scratch that itch anymore. Here’s why I’m done with dating apps, maybe for good.

Some things aren’t meant for you, and that’s okay. Even if they flick a light switch on inside you that you didn’t know was there, and even if they show you things you wanted that had never before crossed your mind. Just because something or someone or someplace triggers a response in you—a visceral reaction—that doesn’t mean it's right.
🦋 I feel like a perpetual cocoon. I keep thinking it's time to chew my way out and spread my wings but the world says slooow down and so I do. It's safe and warm in here, but getting a little itchy. Soon. Soon.
I tend to steer clear of too much C-19 related news because there's nothing I can do to change it and I know it just drives me even further into existential dread, but I made the mistake of clicking on a 5min recap of the situation in Aus + NSW last night.

Would you be friends with yourself? 🤔
🧐 Is anyone else both a total homebody *and* loves nothing more than traveling? I've always thought my adaptability is one of my best traits, and an area in my life it really shows itself is in my ability to make anywhere I am feel like home.
💛 How are you? I'm… well, I'm a lot of things, but let's go with 'mostly good most of the time'. Life just throws curve balls pretty consistently, doesn't it? It forces you to get better at catching or you're left with a few bumps and bruises, and I'm a notoriously bad catch. It's been a weird time, up and down in some pretty big ways - career-wise, health-wise, home-wise. I'm still landing on my feet. But it feels like resolution, like the beginning of a new, more confident cycle. So for a fish who spends so much time just going with the flow, that's... different. But nice. I can do confident. Right?
~ ON FRIENDSHIP
Women and non-men are profound teachers. They teach us how to move through life with resilience and strength, with empathy and tenderness. They carry the weight of a world not designed for them on their shoulders… but much of the time, barely show it.
